drivers, and is possibly the reason our ears always prick up and our
attention spiked as soon as we hear mention of a "secret."
On the other hand, almost secrets are an absolute and utter waste of time, but one which actually merits our full consideration is "The Ultimate Secret To Getting Absolutely Everything You Want" by Mike Hernacki.
A small, slim pamphlet, yet one which can significantly adjust the course of an persons career if they maintain an open mind, study the essentials outlined by Hernacki, and apply them.
Now for the more nonbelieving and sceptical, Hernackis ideas will hastily be cast into the waste bin of "hocus pocus" as it is not a customary "How To" pamphlet, but rather a description of the Power of Attraction.
One segment of the paperback which really gripped my attention is where Hernacki outlines how, after investing and spending years researching and employing all the "principles of success" outlined by the "Guru's in the giant library of the personal/self development industry, he found himself no further forward and still slaving to succeed. I also have felt exactly the same.
According to Hernacki, the path to achievement is an internal not external phenomenon, and he explains it in one sentence:
"In order to accomplish something,
you must be willing
to do whatever it takes to accomplish it."
A simple attitude, with the imperative ingredient being the WILLINGNESS to do whatever is takes, rather than actually having to do it. It is a frame of mind.
Now to some who are fans of the established "To Do List" way of thinking incorporating structured planning, time management and a "doing" philosophy, this will be an exceptionally alien concept.
Two things are essential:
1. "A clear idea of what you want (an objective)."
2. "Commitment" or a "feeling of "confidence" that you will continue to run down your goals no matter what happens.
In many ways, the film "The Secret" is a more up-to-date exposition of Hernackis character of The Law of Attraction, and one more widely known.
As MLM professionals the lone question worth attention is if the Hernacki system can assist us in attaining our goals?
In most situations it is our conscious thoughts which causes us issues and gets in the way, constantly explaining in great detail why we can't accomplish; why we don't have the skill -sets, drive and motivation necessary to reach our dreams which will permanently continue a dim and distant vision. We should simply relax and permit our sub-conscious minds the control of the rudder; we jump from one "success" system to another, totally missing the point.
Our charge is to hold our ambition before us, have faith that we will continue the journey, and be willing to do whatever it takes to achieve our objectives: simple, clean and clear.
